[Killua pauses to glance at Ritsu, and there's a certain tenseness in his shoulders as the other boy scoots closer.]

It's not really big enough for two people...

[moresuffering]

... [That kinda hurts to hear... but Ritsu sets his jaw stubbornly, biting down the bitterness.] I wasn't going to do anything this time.

Yeah, well...

[Killua huffs, slumping his shoulders forward. Closing himself off.]

[The rejection seems clear enough to Ritsu, who hesitates only for a minute more before standing up.] ...I'll go take a bath, then. [He can't get angry at Killua over something that's his fault. So just... go stew. Ritsu's never fucked up something this badly before. He grabs pajamas to change into and closest the door behind him with no ceremony.]

[As soon as Ritsu leaves the room Killua feels a heavy weight bear down on him. He practically throws himself down onto the floor, curled up and flipping through manga. He's not reading it.

He's just staring at the pages.

What the hell is he supposed to do? He doesn't believe in that soulmate crap. He didn't... He just wants to be friends. He just wants to be normal.]

[Ritsu takes a long bath, trying to calm down and think of how to properly apologize. How to actually make it up to Killua for kind of forcing himself on someone who just wanted to be friends. And once he's out of the shower, and back in his room.... Killua's gone. Wordlessly, Ritsu stacks up the manga and returns them to his brother's room, before climbing back into his own bed and huddling under the blankets. He's never felt more like a total creep in his life. How could things get more pathetic than this...]
