Coming Home from a Dream

Hell has a habit of sucking in hapless, tortured souls... including those from other worlds, it seems, when helped along by portalling magic concocted by Stolas of the Ars Goetia. Hell, in fact, is very receptive to the devised spell, sucking in those that portal from the land of dreams, songerein.

Residents of hell walking through the portal find themselves startled awake where they were, but newcomers? Their forms become physical, tangible, changing them into the creatures they dream themselves to be - for the best and most certainly for the monstrous. It is Hell, after all.

"Oh. Huh. Good to know." No comparisons and probably no dog jokes. But despite everything else, his browline furrowed. What was pet-play? He could take a guess, but...

"Oh, wait- dogs can't eat some stuff. Am I gonna die or whatever if I eat cake?"

"You're not a dog, you're a hellhound. We'll figure out what you're allergic to but you can eat normal shit, don't worry," he assured, though he tugged out a baggie of milkbones from his jacket. "Want one? I only got them for Loonie after I made sure they tasted good."

So what if he munches on a few, himself, now and then?

Akechi was now looking at the bag with an expression of utmost revulsion, halfway through looking through the offered clothing.

It was remarkable, how much additional volume feathers added when they all stood on end.

"Fuck it. I'll take a treat." He would happily have himself one. He'd eaten way worse after all, what was a kinda bland cookie made with chicken fat? He crunched away.

"I wanna go check out the city, too. Find out if there's an arcade somewhere. Bonus if there's a dance machine, since this is the future and it was just a rumor back home."

"Oh, fuck yeah, I know a few places! I'll go with ya, people here are a little casually murder-happy and horny and it'll probably take getting used to. Not like you can't handle it, but assholes are assholes," he assured, patting Denji on the shoulder before munching on a milkbone, himself. "You too, 'Kechi, I won't let any freaks grab at your scrawny bird ass."

Why are you both so gross. "Actually, a visit to an arcade might be beneficial. Help me get back to the same level of dexterity- that, and it's been a while since I've been to one. As for my ability to defend myself... what are the rules, here? If I defend myself, am I likely to be arrested or be left alone? Should I invest in an actual firearm, or will my special brand of bullshit still work here? I'll have to look into that one, actually."

He snickered at 'special brand of bullshit'. "Yeah, that goes double for me. I got my pull cord, but how fair is Hell that I can't grind some murder-happy fucker into stir fry slabs in self-defense? Got no answer for the horny ones, though."

He cheekily swept his hands over his ears and impressively fluffy head with a fangy grin. "I'm cute as fuck and it's gonna be hard to keep 'em off me. They'll need to take me out to dinner first, though."

"That's RIGHT! You boys keep your standards fuckin' high, my boys deserve the best and I will shoot a bitch in the face if they pull any bullshit with ya," he promised, grinning broadly.

Akechi sighed, rubbing his face. "Blitz, I don't even fucking- know what my standards are, alright, I think we all know I am the god damn poster boy for having a lot of shit to work through."

Also apparently one... other thing to think about, that he hadn't ever before. That was great. To know.

"Take yer time, sweetie, but also don't wait for some mythical 'I'm all better now' day to come before playing the field either. That day ain't never gonna show up," Blitzø snickered a bit. He was better in a LOT of ways, especially after the dream world, but there was never going to be a day where he was 'normal' and 'adjusted' and he'd accepted that.

"... Noted," he said, and ignored the heat now rushing to his face stop smirking at me like that you fucking goblin.

"I'll... figure it out eventually. I'm getting better at that."

"Welp, that's a green light for me. After the arcade I'm gonna plant my ass somewhere and wag my tail to see whose head turns."

Look, he'd seen SOME hell hounds by now from ones who walked on by the windows, but did they have this wonderfully fluffy, curled tail? No. This was bonafide poof.

He paused and put a claw to his chin.

"Or... wait, I might attract someone into pet play."

A beat.

"Nah, nevermind, I'm into it."
