"You sure? You could make a whole party district, get radio pumping jazz through the streets! You're funny, King Cake," Bee snickered, poking his nose.
"As wonderful as that sounds, the day-to-day tedium of managing territory would make me want to shoot myself in the head," Alastor said bluntly. "No no no no, I'm entirely unsuited for such boredom. I'll just take the material wealth and keep the power I earned through claiming the land by blood so it doesn't get spread around anymore. The souls I decided to just cut loose. I don't need them and too many to sort through to separate the wheat from the chaff."
"Not one for delegation, eh? Heh. Can't fault ya, I guess!" Bee snickered, crouching and sitting on her haunches next to him. "Yer cute like this, you know. You look like the cat that got the cream."
"Ooooooooh, fried fish fingers?? Yes PLEASE. I'll make us a jazzy tartar sauce to go with it. Oooh, maybe some fresh slaw to go on the side? Let's make a whole meal of it!"
Bee's already rubbing a couple of her hands together, excited for it.
"Lead the way, King Cake, I'm crashing at your place. Fried fish feast with some fresh beer would be perfect."
Alastor stretched his powers to encompass himself, Bee, and the corpse. They all melted into shadow, passing briefly through unending darkness with unseen Eyes watching from somewhere in the blackness.
However, the trip was quick enough that the cold barely had time to be registered before they were in Alastor's kitchen. He took a moment to lean on the counter to steady himself.
"First time using that trick with pulling someone else alive along! Or at least as close as I am to living! Ha! One moment, Sugar."
The void, huh? Aren't you an interesting little monster, Alastor? So memorable!
Still, she happily buzzes about, scooping up the corpse. "'Course, King Cake. Where do you like to do your butchery? Do you bother draining the blood? Oh, and next time - I'll lend you a little of my power, too, call it the bus fare~"

Alastor motioned to the corpse.
"I was going to take some home to cook. The fingers really do best when fried. However, if you'd like a share, do help yourself!"
