"And what marvelous things come from the Devil, in that case - making humans want for creativity, daring, and adventure," Frederick chuckled. The hand on his lapel was a balm on a man chilled by loneliness. One that Lucifer understood, now, in his own way. Right?
Frederick's arm slid down from the back of the seat to resting on Lucifer's shoulders, holding him close as he grinned with a devious mirth.
They moved along the rim to his cravat, took some of the material between two fingers in a bit of quiet consideration. What to do, what to do... he made such good company and the atmosphere was awfully cozy.
"Hm, that's right. You never did shy away from such things, did you...?" A quiet question, uttered low.
"Oh, you flatterer," Frederick hummed in amusement, voice light and void of any offense or rejection. Rather, Lucifer would easily taste the pride in Fred's ego getting stroked as playfully as his cravat. The mood was set, the fire flickering with even more warmth and elegant blue sparks, both encouraged by the men and encouraging them on.
"I'm just doing my best to measure up to my standards. And match those that embody them," he added fondly, hand shifting and lengthening like an unraveling ribbon to set the glass on the table before reforming into a hand and gently running a thumb over Lucifer's cheek.
He had noted in the past how fascinating it was to see others shapeshifting in their own ways. Frederick moved like liquid, and it was a marvel to the king. In dismissing his own glass with a thought, he followed the other man's idea.
He couldn't help the absent nuzzle, ever appreciative of a touch. The shadowed hand against the cravat moved to brush the flats of claws up one side of von Eldritch's neck, ease toward the back.
"In all of this time that I've known you... you haven't missed a step."
No matter what your mind may be fooling you into thinking.
"All thanks to many, many years of diligent practice," Frederick smiled in amusement, leaning closer as Lucifer's claws ran over him. His skin didn't goosebump, didn't prickle - hair was just a part of his glamour, his skin was otherwise perfectly smooth - but it did tingle with pleasant sensation of touch, merciful touch.
"And you have always impressed," Frederick added in a soft tone, bringing their faces together to seek out a kiss, touching lips as if it were a question despite having all of the confidence in his demeanor. It was important to be polite, after all.
He always felt a bone-deep pride knowing he had others in his corner, what helped sweep away those dusty old shadows in his troubled mind. He was so glad he reached a point where he could reach out, maybe be something of a comfort for someone who'd comforted him for so long.
Frederick was a brilliant mind. Hell, he was the one who helped him pen the Hellborn's Pardon, seeking loopholes and closing them to avoid the favored pastime of Heaven of offering so much stick and no carrot. He was inventive, a lover of the arts clearly, and stalwart. Lucifer wished in part for another Fair to see his creative spark reignited. He wanted that so badly for him.
But another wish was right in front of him. There was a touch, and he eased in kind. That kiss was soft, in part a greeting, but he didn't break away completely. He'd wanted this far more than the playful thoughts in his head had him realize.
With the kiss reciprocated, Frederick gently wrapped an arm around Lucifer's waist and kissed deeper. Lucifer had complimented him on knowing the steps, but honestly, Frederick needed only to set the stage and the fallen angel danced perfectly. Lucifer was warm, still tasted lightly of the apple wine... Lilith must have been mad to give up such a special thing.
Smiling as he brought their kiss to a pause, Frederick ran a thumb over the demon's bottom lip.
"Must be what kissing Heaven is like," Frederick lightly chuckled.
Frederick's opinion would be a first. Most would say Lilith was better off...
He couldn't mask the small sound into the other's mouth as an arm wound around, and he opened to him as the kiss deepened. Lucifer felt a near-overwhelming sense of relief, want and craving blending into something that had him lost in a slight haze when they parted; had him leaning against that thumb when he traced his lip.
Hook, line and sinker.
"...You stop that," he replied with a small laugh. "What am I gonna with you...?"
"Indulge me again, perhaps~?" Frederick chuckled, utterly charmed by how pretty Lucifer looked with that wanting expression on his face. "If I'm to your liking, that is. I will always respect a no," Fred promised, taking Lucifer's hand and kissing the man's knuckles. Those hands had a deceptive hardiness to them from tinkering for so many countless centuries, a hint towards the greater strength and perseverance laying in wait.
He was transfixed, eyes on his lips as they brushed against the knuckles. He eased closer as his gaze narrowed, as if Freddy'd just told a bad joke. Was he to his liking...? What a silly question. The more he thought about it, the more he realized he'd been holding quite a fond candle for Frederick von Eldritch.
"...I'm a Sin, y'know... who would I be if I balked at a bit of indulgence?" He kissed the corner of his lips, lingered there, and nuzzled.
"Whether it's here, or up in my little corner of this twisted world... you know I'm always just a call away."
"Then let me adore you, Lucifer, my old friend. There was always an envy in me about you," he chuckled, lightly. "No time like the present to seize the opportunity."
As the record gently crooned ♫ Just let me adore you~ ♫, Frederick claimed another kiss with the King. Brief, because he had so much to say - such a relief after a bit too long by himself, if he were being honest.
"Bethesda and I were in accord about that - we would've taken you in as ours at the slightest whisper of interest."
He remembered a time that Lilith had said such a thing, but it was spoken to lightly, as that lyrical giggle of hers that led him to believe it was a joke to make conversation. He could scarcely believe such a thing- that he was desired outside of his own marriage, and had been so very lucky to find his missing piece- and even now he had a quiet chuckle, even when he had spent these wonderful moments all wrapped up with the other man.
"It... it would have been an honor. And it still is. The von Eldritches have always been among my dearest among all the demons I've come to know."

"They say idle hands are the Devil's workshop." He smoothed down the other demon's lapels, but let his fingers linger.
"...And an idle mind, in kind, is the Devil's playground."

"Only a coward would fear that boldness~"
