Hey--ow! [Killua moves to swat him away a second too late. Warmth spreads over his lips, and then quickly over the rest of his face until even the tips of his ears are bright red.
He pulls back with a gasp, looking at Ritsu with wide eyes and a slightly trembling expression.]
[Killua's shoulders bunch up, his lips part wordlessly, and then he jerks himself away. He scrambles to his feet, mindless of broken glass or sharp debris as he does. All he can think about is how he wants to leave. He wants to run away. He doesn't want to see Ritsu or anyone--he doesn't need them.]
[At the expression and the way Killua jerks away, Ritsu can't help but move immediately and grab his elbow. Somehow-- if he doesn't grab Killua now, he's afraid he'll never find the boy ever again. He forgets everything else as he wraps his fingers around the other boy's elbow, staring pleadingly at him.]
[Killua stops in his tracks, blood dripping from his palm. A gash runs clean across it, a result of his mad dash for the exit. He doesn't look at Ritsu, but he can feel his eyes on him, and no amount of psychic ability will help him understand why he's holding him back.
[He says it softly, a little afraid to apologize for it. It didn't really feel bad. But he starts digging in his bag, finding a clean towel. It's supposed to be for sweat or whatever for gym, but since it's clean, he wants it out for Killua.]
It's just a cut. [His heart feels like it's going to hammer through his ribcage. His head's light, he feels sick...
Killua reluctantly turns to face Ritsu, but he keeps his head down as he holds his hand out for him. The gash extends from just beneath his pinky finger to the base of his thumb. It looked deep enough for stitches, its color a dark, deep crimson.]
Obviously... [Whatever he cut himself on had to be too big to just get stuck in his hand like that. A quick glance around and a bloody stretch of glass on the floor is all the proof he needs.
It seems like a waste to go back now, but Killua doesn't feel like exploring anymore either. Still, he's not sure he could call it "home". He was just freeloading.]
Either way, Ritsu leads Killua home. His parents decide to save the scolding for later, gently reassuring the boys and taking them to the nearest clinic for emergency stitches - the latter part not being particularly up for discussion. Ritsu sort of guiltily hovers around in the meantime, not sure what else to do.
By late evening, they're no longer being shuffled around - stitches and mild painkillers are in, dinner is done and passed, Shigeo worriedly asks if they're both okay, and now - now they're back to sitting in Ritsu's room while the family downstairs is watching some embarrassing romance movie. Never mind that it's the kind of thing Ritsu usually watches with his mom.]
[Killua is sitting on the floor, his legs crossed in front of him and his bandaged hand laying limply in his lap. Conversation between him and Ritsu has been sparse, and even now he was mostly just fidgeting with his good hand.]
[Killua says that to Ritsu, and then turns around the next moment to thank Shigeo for the manga. He picks up volume one and flips to the back, using his psychic abilities.
He normally wouldn't bother, but moving his hand is a literal pain.]
I've never hear of this one... It looks kind of lame.
My brother smiles at it, so it's probably really funny.
[Despite his parents' warnings, Ritsu decides to close the door. He'll sit next to Killua, though he's granting the other boy plenty of space, just in case.
The sight of the pinups by now is completely forgotten... now all Ritsu can think about, all he is hyper focused on, was the way the kiss felt. ...And how much different little details about Killua are suddenly all he can focus on.]
[Killua shoots Ritsu a cautionary glance before returning to flipping through the manga. He's not even reading it yet, just flipping through the pages to get a feel for what it's about.]
I guess a smile's a lot for someone so stony-faced.

[He wants to jump on Killua and....
...And?
Punch him????
He isn't sure]

You're the idiot! You're not making any sense! Idiot!

Immediately after, it's this feels NICE...
Once their lips part, and Ritsu sees Killua's face, his heart immediately worriedly sinks into his gut.]
....Killua.
[Shit.]

For Ritsu to say something.]

...Don't go.
[Selfish, he's [ selfish ].]
I don't want you to.

[Killua tugs his elbow away so he can inspect the wound on his hand. It's just another way to avoid looking at him.]
You're the one doing weird stuff.

I don't see any glass in it...
[He looks for a bit longer, very gingerly dabbing the towel to it before starting to wrap it tightly around the cut.]
Let's go home.

Maybe he's going through his rebellious teenager phase?

[...]
He wasn't even conscious. So he didn't do it on purpose.

[That's rough, buddy.]
There's nothing you can do about it then. Maybe he likes being that way.
