[Parties! Parties are very, very old for Chris. As far back as he can think, he's been joining human's for their gatherings, big and small. Love is a thing to be celebrated, after all, there was no shortage of events that a Fae of his specialty could attend and feed off the revelry and debauchery at hand.

He's somehow both the most obvious and entrancing person in the room and also difficult to... fully comprehend. He radiates passion and allure like nobody else, but it's almost blinding, like looking too long at the center of a roaring fire. He moves as if not touching the ground, so smooth he may as well be skating on air, dancing between those in attendance. He stops, speaks, gets a group laughing then moves on, leaving them swooning.

Eventually, Reigen can't help but lose track of him. It's like he can just disappear, but how? When Reigen's most absorbed in squinting across the crowd, Chris sneaks up behind him. Long arms stretch around his hip and Chris is beside him, casually close, fingers hanging loosely in the low curve of the smaller man's back. He leans in close, whispering gentle yet deviously]

[Reigen jolts in surprise, letting out a startled yelp. He quickly glances over and-- wow, this man is just radiant. And his hand is on Reigen's lower back. And he's whispering and it's super... sexy??? And suddenly Reigen's swallowing hard, not sure why he of all people is being focused on.]

Err, well, it's only natural for your eyes to try and land on the most handsome person in the room.

[...He was stating that bluntly but it came out kind of flirty, good job, Reigen.]

Is that a fact? No wonder I keep spotting you spotting me. [he's nothing if not smooth, complimenting them both in one fell swoop, while still purring out softly between them. There's something extra intriguing about speaking quiet and low in a crowded space, keeping others out of the conversation. A little secret between them, even if so many others are about.]

[He laughs a little surprisedly and awkwardly - he'd never. Actually been complimented like that before?? Sure, some women seemed to swoon, but anyone swoons at a mildly attractive guy that saves them from scary ghosts.]

[He's really flattered, though, and he likes where this is going. He clears his throat to compose himself.]

Ahem-- I mean, of course it is. I'm Reigen Arataka, by the way.

[While most Fae preferred to keep their first names secret, only allowing their second to float out in the human consciousness, Chris was different. He preferred the myths being of Christophe and to keep Giacometti to himself, the secret name that if he gave away would only be to share his powers with another.]

I'm Christophe, but Chris is also pleasing to me.

Christophe! An elegant name for an elegant man. My first name is Arataka, but if we're going by nicknames, Taka should work just fine.

[Reigen can't help but loosen up and fall into his comfort zone! Which is flattering himself and other people.]

Taka, how cute. What brought you to the party? You don't seem as keen on bloodsucking as these others. That's just how merchants are, I suppose. [Chris is still close, casually draping his arm around Reigen's waist, hand on the opposite hip, occasionally dancing his fingers across like keys on a piano]

[Reigen's skin is bristling with goosebumps, at that. Initial surprise out of the way, he relaxes and even leans into Chris a little, wrapping an arm around the man's broad shoulders.]

I just finished a case! And as part of the payment, my client brought me as their plus-one to this party. I was definitely ready to get ruined on alcohol, but I think my evening might get more interesting than that.

A man who appreciates a good drink? I should mix you something, I have a talent for it. [Chris will shift away, but only so he can take Reigen's hand in his and move them toward the bar. There's a man serving, but Chris lets go of Reigen to vault right over the counter with a smooth hop. The tender seems completely nonplus, unsure what to say. A wink from Chris seems to completely placate them and they go right back to doing their work, not minding him at all as he rummaged through the booze available]

[Wow. This guy has charisma.

...Or, he isn't human. Is it impolite to throw out an accusation that the handsome guy might be some kind of spirit? Reigen leans against the counter to watch, and after a few seconds, decides that there's probably no harm in having sex with a spirit if it isn't causing any trouble. Besides, he doesn't actually know if Chris is a spirit, it's just a little detail that not many people might actually pick up.]

Looks like you're pretty cozy with these people.

There's rarely a party I'm not invited to. [only the somber ones, and those aren't generally considered parties]

[Reigen grins, leaning on the counter.]

You could say that, sure. [Chris is taking out several different liquors and mixing them into some kind of concoction, shaking them with ice. He pours a beautifully red drink into a glass for Reigen and then for himself, the color stunning and more brilliant than it seems it should be. He pushes one to Reigen.]

Isn't it more alluring if I remain a mystery?

I deal in mysteries every day. I'm the kind of man that likes to solve problems and get to the bottom of things.

[That said, he is also being uncautious, because he throws back that drink like it's a beer instead of whatever potent concoction it actually is.]

[he'll take his drink and roll the rim of the glass along his bottom lip, before taking that first delicate sip. Delicious.]

[It's a sweet drink, and definitely dangerous. Reigen lets out a surprised "hoo" at the alcohol hitting him, before going back to all smiles.]

Dunno, how long are you gonna bewitch me?

Bewitch, now? Is that what you think of me? Tsk, tsk... how suspicious you are.

I'm not mad about it. Who can stay mad at a pretty face like that, after all? [He drapes himself over the counter, lying on his back - that alcohol hit him way harder than he expected. He just gives Chris a big goofy smile.] You're allowed to spirit me away!! But you gotta give me back before sunrise. Or I'm gonna spirit you away. [That makes no sense but he is very very weak to alcohol and he's already several sheets to the wind.]

Jumping ahead a ways, are you? Must say, I have a thing for smooth talkers and big promises. [innuendo, ahoy]

Big promises, huh? Well, I can guarantee you'll never find hands more talented than mine.

That's quite the promise! Where do you like to use those hands, I wonder? [he practically sings the last bit, leaning forward across the bar to close the distance between them]
