for the good bean
But word can travel fast in the land of the dead. Spirits passing through spread rumors about a number of them having been exorcised in Seasoning City by a powerful esper, one who even went up against one of the most disturbing esper-turned-spirits known to many, Keiji Mogami.
It's enough to get The Composer of Shibuya's curiosity.
He's not supposed to leave Shibuya--as the being that practically watched over this city as their kami, their god, going outside of the city even temporarily could upset the spiritual balance of the city if he's not careful. Still, this Shigeo Kageyama is someone he wants to meet, and Joshua finds he doesn't have the patience to wait for an opportunity to manipulate a situation for the esper to come to him.
He spins some fabrications for the closest Reapers that he's busy with something, sets up some barriers to prevent other spirits in Shibuya from noticing his coming and going, and forces his spiritual energy to be pushed down deep enough that he can appear to the living or dead as the fifteen-year-old Joshua Kiryu he was when he was once alive.
When he arrives in Seasoning City, he finds himself drawn to the outside of a building. "Spirits and Such Consultation", huh... despite such a tacky name for a business, there's something he can sense in this spot, so he clasps his hands behind his back and simply looks up at the sign for a moment, considers whether or not he should try to go inside. He could also just wait outside and see if someone notices him here, and while good things come to those that wait, he's already decided that waiting isn't for him. Otherwise, he wouldn't even be here.
So, Joshua knocks on the door. Time to see if anyone's in today.]
no subject
He's forgiven Reigen, and is working today, since the man seems like he needs the companionship at the moment. Business is slow after that fiasco, after all. Shigeo will answer the door to keep Reigen from excitedly throwing it open.]
Welcome to Spirits and Such Consultation.
[He's still not great at inflection. He doesn't bother trying to feel this stranger's aura, a bit too emotionally drained. Instead, he's barely aware that his energy is rolling off of him in slow, lazy, heavy waves. It's been an emotional week for everyone.]
no subject
Ah, hello there... I'm sorry, is this a bad time? I was hoping to get a second opinion on an issue I've been concerned about, if you don't mind.
no subject
[Inside is also an older man in a grey suit, looking extremely relieved to see someone that came in. Shigeo seems to just tuck himself aside to let Reigen take over - oops. He's remarkably oblivious to any sign that Joshua's interest had been piqued by him specifically.]
no subject
I see. It looks like I've found the right place then.
[Joshua flips his hair here so that it's not hanging in his face too much before he offers a hand in greeting.]
My name is Yoshiya Kiryu, but you're welcome to call me Joshua if you'd like. It's a pleasure to meet you, Reigen-san... and you as well, Kageyama-kun.
[The offered hand is not just for the former, but to the latter to shake, too. Regardless of whether or not Reigen had actually given both of their names yet or not beforehand in his opening speech.]
no subject
Do you know Mob from somewhere?
[Because Reigen sure did only reference his student as "Mob", not by his real name. Shigeo slowly blinks, not quite catching on any reason to be suspicious - but Reigen's staring down Joshua more intently. He has more reasons to suspect that people are going to be out to deceive him or defame him, after all - and he doesn't want to tangle up Mob in all of that.]
no subject
[Joshua tilts his head a little curiously at Shigeo, then.]
Would you prefer having me call you "Mob" as well, or something else?

I don't really mind. Just not Shige-chan.
no subject
Wouldn't dream of it, dear.
[Josh no you literally just met him don't try to fluster him already--]
As to the matter of why I'm here... by any chance, have either of you been to Shibuya before?

Of course things hadn't worked out that way. One after another he had rejected the chocolates—he had neither the want nor need for relationships. Ah, again that wasn't really true. The way he gripped his cellphone in his jacket, in contrast to his lax posture agaisnt the brick wall proved otherwise. ]
no subject
Still, he can't actually eat this slop. The store-bought he might consider. But he knows someone who would never reject anything that Seimei told him.
He doesn't need to say a single thing as he approaches the college student, wrinkling his nose at the cigarette disapprovingly but otherwise not dropping the smile.]
Soubi. Spit that out and open your mouth.
no subject
Still, the confusion on his face is evident even as he does his best to comply with the order instinctually. At least he doesn't need to worry about the cigarette, as that dropped from his lips as soon as he comprehended the words. Open his mouth?
Seimei? [ But comply he does, the slight pink on his cheeks clearly not the result of the brisk February night. ]
no subject
Chew, and swallow.
no subject
But for now, he won't ruin the moment with an overstep or flirtaous banter, the smile on his face purely earnest. For the next few seconds, anyway. ]
no subject
Any headaches? Feel sick?
no subject
Hmm... ]
No headaches, but I feel a bit light headed. Is that normal?~
no subject
[He'll hold the bag open. It's been torn open from being neatly stapled, and a sticker on it is cutely written kanji. "For Aoyagi-san". Of course Seimei wasn't going to eat this.]
I'm almost disappointed, but I guess it's too obvious for them to try something as blatant as poisoning chocolates.

Fae Verse
Not that too many people were properly paying him any mind? It made him feel a little like Mob, actually, slightly wall-flower-y and not exactly sure how to engage. He was used to taking up the room or marching in with purpose. He was done for quite a while, had nowhere else to be, and so... what now? He wasn't sure he could actually relate to anybody.]
no subject
He's somehow both the most obvious and entrancing person in the room and also difficult to... fully comprehend. He radiates passion and allure like nobody else, but it's almost blinding, like looking too long at the center of a roaring fire. He moves as if not touching the ground, so smooth he may as well be skating on air, dancing between those in attendance. He stops, speaks, gets a group laughing then moves on, leaving them swooning.
Eventually, Reigen can't help but lose track of him. It's like he can just disappear, but how? When Reigen's most absorbed in squinting across the crowd, Chris sneaks up behind him. Long arms stretch around his hip and Chris is beside him, casually close, fingers hanging loosely in the low curve of the smaller man's back. He leans in close, whispering gentle yet deviously]
Looking for me?
no subject
Err, well, it's only natural for your eyes to try and land on the most handsome person in the room.
[...He was stating that bluntly but it came out kind of flirty, good job, Reigen.]
no subject
no subject
Oh, well, guess so!
[He's really flattered, though, and he likes where this is going. He clears his throat to compose himself.]
Ahem-- I mean, of course it is. I'm Reigen Arataka, by the way.
no subject
I'm Christophe, but Chris is also pleasing to me.
no subject
[Reigen can't help but loosen up and fall into his comfort zone! Which is flattering himself and other people.]
