[Lonely middle-aged men........]

He should talk to Reigen-shou.

Oh? Think that they'd have something in common to talk about?

[... He might be trying not to laugh as he says that, though.]

[shigeo]

Reigen-san also is a lonely middle-aged man. [Blunt as a hammer...]

[lusito]

[Okay no Joshua cannot hold back, he is definitely laughing now.]

Wow, you sure don't mince words, do you?

[shigeo]

Ah... should I have? [Hmm.] Reigen-san can be pushy, too... but I wouldn't say it where he could hear.

[lusito]

Well, isn't that considerate of you.

[... Joshua has no such consideration for Mister H.]

[shigeo]

Mm.

[It's more like he wouldn't hear the end of it...]

...I don't like being watched like that.

[lusito]

Neither do I.

[Which is why he's casually flipping his phone closed and back into his pocket.]

So, have you thought of anything that you'd like to do next on our date?

[shigeo]

... [What did he always care about? After a moment to think, Shigeo offers a small shrug.] The only thing I ever wanted to do was to walk a girl home, hand-in-hand, as the sun sets...

[lusito]

[There's a pause, and then...

Wordlessly, Joshua holds out his hand to Shigeo. We're not a girl, but we can still do the holding hands part, right?]

[shigeo]

[Shigeo's face lights up in its own subtle way, and he takes Joshua's hand. He hopes his isn't too sweaty and clammy... he's pretty excited about this part.]

[lusito]

[By comparison, Joshua's hand is colder. Which might be due to the whole... you know, being dead thing, but it's not uncomfortable or like touching a corpse. Just a little lacking in body heat and a pulse, no big deal.

... Actually this is the first time in a long while, if ever, since Joshua has held hands with someone, so he's low-key excited about this, too.]

Would you like to lead the way back to the station?

[shigeo]

[Shigeo shook his head, face only getting redder even as he felt a little more calm.] Do you live somewhere...? Even though you're a ghost. [He's gotta be the gentleman, obviously, he can walk himself home.]

[lusito]

... I do, actually. Though, you may be a little surprised when you see it.

[Even though Joshua really shouldn't be bringing living people over there.]

[shigeo]

I'll walk you there. [Whether he didn't hear or didn't care... he's getting carried away a little bit with his newfound goal of walking his date home.]

[lusito]

... Alright. Let us be on our way then, shall we?

[He really shouldn't be showing Shigeo where he lives--not only is the spiritual concentration of the city much higher there, but it would probably earn him a lecture, if not Hanekoma showing up at his place to berate him in person about a living person having seen it. Then again, pissing off the latter right now after his rude eavesdropping is enough of a motivator to let Joshua do it anyway.

As they walk, Shigeo will begin to notice guys like these hanging around in addition to those teenagers with the timers earlier, though since Shigeo is seen holding on to Joshua's hand, they don't even spare a glance at him when Joshua walks past. Clearly, whoever this kid is has permission to be let through if Joshua is the one accompanying them.

Soon enough, Shigeo will see that Joshua is leading him to... the sewers? What?]

[shigeo]

[Shigeo isn't worried about high concentrations of spirits, and if he thinks anything of the thugs he certainly doesn't let it on. In fact, the only time he does react with surprise is with the sewers, and he tries to mostly keep a lid on it - he's subtly hoping that Joshua isn't stuck living with human waste just because he's dead.] Is it a shortcut...?

[lusito]

Sort of. There's a space back here that I live and work from, and it's location in the sewers is mostly a deterrent to keep living people away from some of the other spirits that don't want anything to do with them.

[In fact, when they start walking in, it's not long before Joshua holds up a hand to stop, and then is reaching out to touch the air. The air ripples, revealing that it was a wall of some kind, and when peeled back and away, Shigeo can now see the entrance to the Dead God's Pad, where Joshua lives.]

I believe this is where we must part for now--allowing a living person to cross into this space tends to upset my Producer more often than not, let alone even letting them see it. Though, perhaps he will make an exception, given my date's kind offer to walk me home, hee hee.

[shigeo]

[Shigeo relaxes when he sees it - he's just glad that Joshua's comfortable, really.] If this is where we stop, that's okay. [This is usually where the goodbye happens. Shigeo's a bit reluctant to let go of Joshua's hand... it was really nice to walk him home, but isn't this also where a good boyfriend gives the girl of his dreams a kiss...? Shigeo accidentally seems to short-circuit himself as he stares at their hands, not letting go even as his face got redder and redder.]

[lusito]

[Joshua allows at least a full two minutes to pass of Shigeo being awkward before he decides to save him here. He leans forward with a smile.]

Thank you for walking me home today. Let's do this again sometime, shall we?

[And then he's kissing Shigeo right on his cheek here.]

[Shigeo tenses, but it's pretty clear that he's not unhappy. A kiss...!! He tries to say something, but can't seem to properly articulate words, so he just eagerly nods. He finally lets go of Joshua's hand, even if he just covers where he got kissed on his cheek, a smile on his face. F...first date!! It went well!! He finally squeaks out a quiet "bye" and he'll be barely keeping his feet on the ground on his walk back home. Oops.]

[Joshua simply waves after him, but ultimately, he is satisfied. Shigeo is interesting, there's no doubt about that. He'll definitely have to make time for a second date.

... Of course, it's probably going to have to wait until after Hanekoma lectures him for letting a living person find out where he lives. But Joshua is nothing if not resilient and will likely keep doing what he feels like here, regardless of consequences that may be had...]
