Well... why don't we go toward the crossing, then? Maybe you'll see something of interest to you while we walk around there.

[Just as soon as Joshua pays for that jacket of course, and once he does so, he's looping an arm around one of Shigeo's to start leading the way to the scramble crossing.]

[Oh... h-he's never even held hands with a girl before. Shigeo clams up, turning bright red - Joshua really meant date, date, didn't he? It feels nice. Even if he tenses up in embarrassment, not really knowing what to do.] Sounds fun... [He's trying to sound enthusiastic but not embarrassed, and it's hard to do both.]

[Joshua says a lot of things, but when he says "date", he means it. He'll absolutely walk with Shigeo just like this as they make their way toward the center of the city, not caring at all how it may look or how embarrassed his date might be about it. There's more teenagers milling around (one or two with timers on their hands like the ones Shigeo saw last time he was here...) but otherwise it seems calm today as they walk.

Joshua will point out some landmark features, like the 104 building that towers over the crossing, or the Hachiko statue when they pass by it, among other things if they stick out on their path here.]

So what do you think of Shibuya so far?

[shigeo]

[What's he supposed to say?? He hesitates, feeling a little on the spot and embarrassed.] Um, it's nice, I guess... [That doesn't sound very enthused, does it?] I'm not really thinking about the city, I guess? But I'm having fun with you. I'm sorry if I'm boring...

[lusito]

Oh, perish the thought! I could never think that you were boring, Shigeo.

[For several reasons other than just because we're on a date right now...]

As long as you're having fun, then that's all that matters.

[shigeo]

I'm still not sure I have a lot of interests... I joined the Body Improvement Club so I wouldn't be so frail, but that's not really much of a hobby. And I'm not really smart or anything. [He doesn't feel like the admiration is earned??] So, I want to do my best to be a more desirable man.

[lusito]

Really? But I think you're pretty desirable already...

[And yes, this is punctuated by Joshua leaning in closer, squeezing the arm he's linked his own around as he winks.]

Is that really just all the training you've done already with your club?

[shigeo]

Ah, uhm, yeah... I know it isn't much... [Shige is very bad at receiving compliments and flirting - this boy has no experience.]

Oh I think it's plenty, don't you worry about that.

[This is fun. Joshua hasn't had this much fun with someone in quite a while, and it might show in how he might actually be glowing just a little brighter here...]

[shigeo]

[Huh... Mob stares at Joshua for a long moment, taking a little while to ponder the brightness. It's not something spirits usually do, as far as he knows - at least, not subtly. Dimple was pretty unique in his flashiness. ...Actually, seeing Joshua slowly increase his glow was... kind of cute.] You're glowing.

... Oh, am I?

[Joshua is actually a little surprised, as he didn't even notice until now. And once he does notice it, the glow kind of dims back down to just sort of barely there, skimming the surface of his skin.]

My apologies, that doesn't happen very often.

[shigeo]

It's not a bad thing, is it? I thought it was nice...

[lusito]

Only that it can be considered distracting, at least for some people.

[Like Sanae, who, while eager to tease him about it sometimes in the past during those rare moments when Joshua was genuinely happy and not just faking it, will also tell him to stop that when in public like this because the living are not supposed to be noticing it.

... But hearing the compliment does make him happy regardless, if the slight pulse of that glow is any indication.]

Mm. It's pretty. Like sunshine. [Hobby: Watching the sky]

... Well, that's certainly a first in terms of how I've heard it being described before.

[But he likes it.]

[shigeo]

It's like an aura. Ah, Ritsu's is a little like that, but his aura is more sharp and blue... and it usually spills out more when he's flustered.

[lusito]

Oh? Does that happen a lot with this "Ritsu"? Being flustered, I mean.

[shigeo]

Mm, more than I realized. He didn't get powers until more recently, even though he's wanted them since we were little kids. [Smile smile smile, he likes talking about Ritsu a lot, huh?] Ah, but he's a lot smarter than I am. Ritsu's amazing.

[lusito]

[He's more talkative now than before, that's for certain.]

That's very sweet of you to compliment him so much like that. You're a very good friend to him... or, ah, are the two of you siblings?

[shigeo]

[He nods at the second remark.] Ritsu is my younger brother. I'm really proud of him. It's nice to have him around again.

[lusito]

[Oh good, momentary flare of jealousy has been put out before it could start at hearing that.]

How nice! And I'm sure that he's proud of you too, seeing as you're such a kind and caring older brother.

[shigeo]

I want to be better... I think Ritsu wants that, too. We aren't close like we used to be.

[lusito]

Oh? Did something happen?

Ah, but you don't have to tell me about it if you don't want to. I was only curious.

[shigeo]

[He nods, considering not saying anything... but it's nice to feel like he can confide in someone. At least, compared to the six months (lifetime?) he spent in Mogami's world.] I can't read people very well... I have a really hard time. I'm so lucky that I have all my friends and family now... life without them is kind of...

[lusito]

... Difficult to imagine?

[Or at least, that's what Joshua would think could be filled in the blanks there.]

While I can't say that you don't give off the impression of being unsure of the mood sometimes, you are capable of feeling emotions, and you clearly care a lot for your friends and family. I think they'd be lucky to have you in their lives, regardless of whether or not you can read a person as well as you seem to think you need to.
