Oh yeah? You seriously can't tell? I guess I shouldn't tell you then, you might blow my cover~

[Killua smiles, cat-like.]

[moresuffering]

Can't tell what?

[killectric]

That I'm not from Japan.

[moresuffering]

I figured you weren't... [He gestures at Killua's hair.] But that doesn't mean you don't live here, right? So how did you arrive in Japan on your own in the first place?

[killectric]

[Killua deflates pretty quickly, patting down his hair. A dead giveaway...!]

Wrong. I don't! I took a boat here.

[moresuffering]

I'm guessing you were a stowaway, then. [Hrmph...] You really did want to get away. How bad is your family?

[killectric]

Hehe, and they kept wondering where all the sweets went. I heard the passengers rioting.

[Killua barely hides his grinning.]

They suck. What else is there to say? I can't do anything I wanna do.

[moresuffering]

I can't, either... that's nothing special. [He hates it, he feels smothered under the weight of his expectations, but he also can't imagine leaving his loving family.]

[killectric]

Then why don't you run away?

[He genuinely wants to know.]

[moresuffering]

I can't just do that. My family... they might have expectations of me, but they're for my own good. They want me to grow up to be as smart and educated as possible.

[killectric]

[He lets out a derisive snort.]

Yeah, that's what they all say. Your family doesn't seem that bad, though... At least they're not espers.

[moresuffering]

Yeah. Shigeo is, but... I think even if they were espers, they probably wouldn't be very different. They value living a normal life too much. Including my brother. [That part drives him a little crazy....]

[killectric]

I wouldn't mind trying to live a normal life...

[He sounds a bit wistful.]

[moresuffering]

[Seething... Ritsu shoves the pajamas at Killua, mood souring.] Put them on.

[killectric]

[He blinks, catching the pajamas and wondering what he said.]

Okay.

[Killua sets the pajamas aside and starts to undress.]

[moresuffering]

[Guh--] I'm gonna take a bath. [He'll grab a random pair of pajamas for himself and sulk off, trying not to be as obvious as he honestly was.]

[Lucky for Killua, he's pretty much allowed to live with the Kageyamas - there's some talk about room shuffling, but the attic is cleaned out and dusted and set up as a nice little room. He gets to live with a lot of boxes, but there's a mattress! Ritsu normally spends his weekends watching his dramas on TV... but now he's curious. There's more to do, especially with his very restless soulmate. So he picks an old apartment complex in a forested area for them to explore - everything is rusted, dilapidated, and so on.] Use your barrier if any rubble starts falling on us. [This place is pretty aesthetic...]

It's annoying when you tell me what to do... I know how to not get killed.

[Bickering aside, Killua was grateful for the room at the Kageyamas' house, and when Ritsu proposed they explore an old apartment complex he agreed almost instantly.]

How old is this place?

[moresuffering]

I'm not sure. But it's the most impressively old one.

[He finds the little playground that's overgrown. Most of the toys are broken down, the swings are completely missing, and as Ritsu curiously grabs it he finds that the roundabout was rusted firmly in place.]

[killectric]

[Killua climbs up the playset and hoists himself onto the roof to take a seat.]

Maaan, look at all this stuff! [He looks down at Ritsu with a grin.] Hey, let's see if there's anything worth keeping.

[moresuffering]

Yeah? Like what, huh?

[He can climb up too, being the far more athletic Kageyama brother.]

[killectric]

Some old videogames, or maybe some manga? I heard Twinkies don't expire.

[Always back to sweets.]

If we found manga it'd be something like astro boy. How much would you want a moldy manga, huh?
