[He rolls onto his side, pressing his folded arms to either side of his head.] I've got expectations to meet. Things my parents want me to be... I've even killed people.

You-- what? [Ritsu isn't sure he heard that right.] You've killed people?

[Killua opens his hands in surrender and sticks out his tongue.]

[moresuffering]

[Ritsu practically jumps onto the bed, hovering over Killua and staring a bit more intensely than strictly necessary.] You have powers. Killua, you can't be held back by anyone. If you don't want to do what your family demands... you have powers, you have freedom. Reject them!

Gah! [Ritsu got real close, real fast. Killua's eyes are wide, his shoulders bristling.]

Back off! [He knocks Ritsu back with a small burst of psychic energy.] Idiot... Why do you think I ran away? That's the whole point!

[moresuffering]

[He wobbles to not fall off the bed, but still kind of hovers, heart hammering in his chest.] ...Good. Good, so don't go back. Stay with me.

You really are an idiot... [His own heart pounds in his ears. He wants him to stay with him? If it's just because they're "soulmates"...

He wonder how much that really means.]

I already said I was going to mooch off of your parents.

[moresuffering]

They'll accept it. We'll come up with some convincing lie. I'll help you.

[killectric]

I'll just tell them my family's dead. They don't seem too hard to convince.

[moresuffering]

They won't think too hard about it. We just have to find some real world event in case they decide to think too hard about it.

[He glances at the open door and then starts yelling.]

Don't yell in my house, idiot! [He grabs Killua's shirt and yanks him back! Their mom scolds them about coming to talk face-to-face if they have something to say.]

[Now he starts to turn red, as he only just registers what Ritsu had said. Somehow, his own words had just spilled out without him putting any thought into them.]

S-stupid. Who do your parents think I am? Some kind of pervert? Jeez...

They don't know, which is why they said that! Especially since you're my soulmate. We aren't going to do anything, but they're not telepaths, they don't know that.

Clearly not. [He'll still grab Killua's hand and drag him downstairs, at least. Some semblance of control. He leads them to his father, actually, and puts on a worried face.] Dad? There's something we've gotta tell you. [Dad doesn't crack jokes this time, at least, just smiling understandingly and glancing at the way Ritsu was holding Killua's hand.]

H-hey--! [His cheeks flush, and by t he time they reach Ritsu's dad, Killua's truly resembling a cat in headlights. Isn't holding hands like this just going to make them look more suspicious?!]
